One of my passions is teaching yoga to children. You can begin yoga at any age, however children are fearless, playful and are just getting to know their body and mind – which makes yoga perfect to help and support the development of their physical and mental wellbeing.
I can teach children from as young as two all the way up to secondary school. Classes include breathing, relaxation and mindfulness, as well as the physical practice of yoga. Prices and structuring can be discussed upon enquiry.
During the lockdown period I am proud to say that I have run online children’s yoga classes for Captain Fantastic, Active Childhood UK and The Little Millenium Vastral School in India, bringing creative and fun yoga and mindfulness to children and their families globally. From July I will be teaching online toddler yoga for Music Bus.
The Calm Within Youth 10 Week Programme
I have created a 10 week programme of 1 class a week, based around yogic ethical principles displayed in a way that children will understand. These principles will encourage children to think about and develop different parts of their personality and wellbeing through the physical practice of yoga. Classes begin with a discussion surrounding the theme of the class followed by breathing, physical practice and relaxation. Prices are to be discussed upon enquiry. This programme is recommended for years 5 and 6 at Primary school level and all Secondary school students.
I am First Aid Trained and Basic DBS checked. I am in the process of obtaining my enhanced DBS. Copies of both certificates can be provided upon enquiry.
