Nourish through November.
Writing a newsletter felt very bizarre this month. It didn’t feel like the best way for me to reach out to everyone, in light of the PM’s announcement about a month lock down from Thursday. All of the news about dates for Moon Baths, classes and offerings now will not be happening. I am working on online offerings that I will release when I have more of an idea of how this period will look for me work wise, but until then I thought I would turn my attention to a different topic this month.
At the moment it feels like everything is out of our control. For those of you, like myself, that have suffered/are suffering with anxiety and/or depression, it may resonate with you that depression occurs ruminating on the past and anxiety occurs by worrying about the future – that lack of control. The combination of the two can feel totally overwhelming. I hear you. You are not alone. It is something I am managing on a daily basis through my spiritual practice. Always reminding myself to return back to the present and embodying all that it entails. Know that I am silently but certainly walking with you on this human journey.
I had a wonderful conversation with a friend a couple of weeks ago. She said something beautiful which sparked the inspiration for this blog post. She said, that through her little corner of the world, she hoped to positively affect what is going on around her, and as she focuses on that corner of the world the good vibes will surely ricochet out.
The image of tending to ‘your corner of the world’, your garden of peace that will blossom within you I thought was wonderful. We have all walked past someones house with a vibrant front garden, flowers blooming, trees flourishing, and have thought ‘Wow’, that looks really gorgeous. And even if that recognition of the wonder of nature is fleeting, it brightens your day, right? All because someone else took the time to look after that garden.
I am not saying be blind to what is going on in the world. I’m not saying block out the bad. We need to have the dark to recognise the light. But right now, there is very little we can change by facing everything externally. But what we can do, is tend to the love and joy that exists within every single one of us. The joy and love that is our innate truth as spiritual beings living human lives on this planet. So in this time where we will be at home, look after your little corner of the world. Put the focus there. Not on what’s going on outside, the news, the fear, the anger. Put the focus on what you love to do, on what your family loves to do, on nurturing all parts of yourself in whatever way you can. The moment you begin to take responsibility for that and feel the warmth that it provides within your body, THAT is the moment that you will begin to positively affect others. THAT is your activism. THAT is your positive change within the world. You begin to add to the interwoven fabric of the high vibration frequency that is love. And that is when your cup feels full enough to give out to others.
I would love to hear about how you have been looking after your corner of the world recently. Comment below, connect with me on Instagram or send me an email.
If you would like to be sent information about any online offerings that come through me when I have structured them, then please email me with the subject title ‘YES PLEASE!’ and I will add you to the emailing list accordingly.
Sending you all of the health, love and joy throughout this time.
With Love, Light & Best Wishes,
